Since 1989

Hámor Zrt. is the largest Hungarian open-die forging mill with many years of traditions. The process of steel-production and formation has been made since 18th century. Our forging shop was established in 1870 as a part of a steel mill.
The new and separated company, the Hámor Zrt. was founded in 1989. At that time we supplied the Hungarian market with wide range of forged products while in the export market we mainly focused on the railway industry and supplied wheels to more than 15 countries.
At the beginning of the 90’s we made investments to getting into the market of bearing industry which is still playing an important role for us through our doughter company, the Acélgyűrű Kft. (Steelring Ltd.).

At the beginning of 2018, we also created a new Material Testing Laboratory to our customers' satisfaction. Following the successful acquisition, the processes were approved by TÜV-SÜD.
As years passed we always tried to oriented to the actual market demands and by nowdays we can offer wide ranges of forged products up to 8 tons in different steel qualities such as carbon steels, case-hardening steels, heat-treatable steels and bearing steels.
The main applications of our products are the oil & gas indusrty, wind-power industry, shipping & mooring industry, bearing industry, railway industry, pump & turbine industry and chemical industry.
Our company is working under the quality control system of ISO 9001:2015, we have the PED 2014/68/EU and AD2000-W0 certifications and we are also approved by many independent inspectional organizations (IACS partners).

Our company has established and applies new Enegry Management System. The  requirements according to ISO 50001:2011 are fulfilled.

January, 2022 - The brand new Hydraulic Forging Press & Integrated Railbound Manipulator have been put into production at Hamor Zrt. It is a huge milestone in the life of the company.
